I believe that many of our struggles can be overcome and understood by looking into our pasts. We were created for deep and enjoyable relationships. When wounding comes from those who are significant to us, it cuts deeply, and can create ongoing struggles. We build walls to protect ourselves, which seem impossible to break down or break through. Together we will explore the relationships and incidents of the past to uncover how they are invading the present, and tarnishing the ability to have hope for the future.

Counseling is a tough and often painful endeavor.  I would be honored to walk with you in this process towards a life of greater freedom and joy.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in May of 2010. I also holds a Master’s in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Nebraska, where my focus was child development. I’ve completed the certificate program with the Allender Center, focusing on resolving trauma though story work. I’m trained in Brainspotting and EMDR. My primary area of interest is working with individuals who have suffered from abuse and trauma.

When I’m not sitting in the counseling room, I can be found outside if the weather is nice, golfing, kayaking, visiting a dog park, or reading on the back patio. I’m at Lowe’s or Menard’s more often than a person should be, getting supplies for my latest DIY home project.
